In celebration of International Crime Month, an initiative featuring internationally acclaimed crime fiction writers, the Italian Trade Agency is partnering in crime with the organizers (Grove Atlantic, Akaschic, Melville House and Europa Editions) to highlight Italian authors of the genre. Known as giallo (Italian for yellow), the term comes from the trademark color of cheap paperback mystery novels, first published by Mondadori and then mimicked by other publishing houses.
Explore the dark side through this site highlighting authors, books, and events and get your thrills the Italian way.
